I know it misery and unhappiness are coming. I can feel that CPA FAR Exam study book traversing the country toward me, sucking the life out of future bus rides, ruining what has been an enjoyable hour of reading and relaxation. Sigh. As today might be my last day, I went ahead and brought Lord of The Rings with me, even though it weighs 10 pounds or so. Okay, maybe 8. Or 5. Whatever! It makes a huge pooch in my backpack, believe me! Still, I thought it appropriate for my possible last ride of freedom.
I have the feeling that CPA Exam texts won’t really translate into interesting blogs. I don’t think I have many followers that are accountants.
I woke up a few minutes early this morning and sat down to read LOTR. It’s funny, I look at the clock and think, I shouldn’t get started, I won’t want to quit, and, I’ll only have time for a few pages. I could not resist though, and snuggled in really quick to the couch. And I wasn’t even running late this morning.
K is in Salt Lake, so we may go t
o lunch. May not, but may. He is with his boss/partner. I guess I’ll say partner since we did invest and have a percentage now, right?
Anyway, nothing much new, but tonight we are going out for Indian food. Neeradj, the guy from India that’s been here for 3 months working on the programming is leaving tomorrow. So what do we do? Ask him out for Indian food. He’ll be there in 48 hours, but what the heck. The last one they went to he said was not good Indian food, so we want to try another place to see if he likes it. Then we’ll know where to go. Of course if we eat out it is generally sushi–everything else we can make ourselves. Some other people from K’s office might go, which would make it fun. Jude has band practice, so he won’t be with us. Surprise surprise. Win one competition and suddenly all he cares about is improving his technical performance. Jeez!
